Torp | Compass Brewery
ABV: 7.0%
Style: Belgian Strong Golden Ale
Out of Production
Description: This is an exploration of top-fermented beers from Northern France and Belgium, traditionally brewed in the spring and matured during the summer for use as payment to the farm hands during harvest. Using four malts and French and Polish hops, Torp’s flavours are mixed together to produce a complexity spurred on by the earthy Belgian yeast propagated in the brewery. It has the colour of four-month weathered copper and is an excellent beer for contemplation. The name ‘Torp‘ is actually Swedish for Croft.
