Angelicus Belgian Double Pale Ale | Firetrucker Brewery
ABV: 11.0%
IBU: 60
Style: Belgian Strong Golden Ale
Actively Produced
Description: Angelicus is an old style Belgian double pale ale. A popular style for centuries, the recipe used at the Sas Brewery was suddenly retired as World War One broke out and all the copper brewing kettles were confiscated. Benedikt Sas revived the recipe recently. We are now proud to join them in introducing this storied beer to North America! At 11% ABV it's strong, but light and smooth with a golden color. A proprietary Belgium yeast adds sweet banana flavors that mix well with a unique set of light herbs and spices. This beer is difficult to brew but is well worth the effort! It brings the past back to life. Cheers!
