Champion of Charlemagne | Grimm Brothers Brewhouse
ABV: 6.3%
Style: Pale Ale - Belgian
Actively Produced
Description: The beginning of the Carolingian era is marked by the coronation of Charlemagne, or Charles the Great, by Pope Leo III in the year 800. Charlemagne was the emperor & ruler over the Carolingian Empire which combined cultures from both Germany & Belgium. Here at Grimm Brothers Brewhouse we follow this cultural blend by combining both historical beer styles into 3 distinct Germany Belgo beers. Champion of Charlemagne is the second of three German Belgo beers. An amber with a light hoppy note from the Belgian hops and a blend of esters and touch of spicy phenolics into the finish. We hope you enjoy all 3 and raise a glass to history and culture.
