Description: We took the already decadent Griffith and aged it for 8 months in Woodford Reserve barrels. This beer uses Ethiopian Sidamo coffee roasted by Trystero. We added an additional dose of fresh roasted whole beans just prior to bottling. The base of this beer is a full, warming Imperial Stout with rich, dark chocolate and char from the deep roast, dark berry qualities from the coffee, and decadent chocolate in the finish. The added time in whiskey barrels brings forward the complex notes of a Manhattan cocktail, balanced booziness, and the warmth of charred oak.
