Bourbon Barrel Aged Overhead | Kane Brewing Company
ABV: 8.7%
Style: IPA - Imperial / Double
Actively Produced
Description: The characteristics of Overhead that under normal circumstances help to differentiate it from Head High – more residual sweetness, wider range of malt flavor, and a shift to the piney, resiny end of the hop spectrum – also make it an interesting candidate for barrel aging. Time softens the high IBU punch of fresh Overhead, and caramel sweetness from the bourbon adds a new layer to its malt backbone. Piney hop aromas, made more subtle during the aging process, are reshaped by the underlying notes of earthy oak and hints of vanilla. ABV: 8.7%
