Newark Castle Brown is brewed from Maris Otter Pale and Dark Crystal malts, and with Northdown hops and Nottingham Ale yeast. Newark boasts a beautiful, but semi-derilect castle in its centre, commemorated by this wonderful beer. The castle was fought over during the English Civil Wars, and much of the damage was caused at this time.
