Description: Batch #4. Bottled October 2018. "Big Shrug" is an Appalachian Wild Ale brewed w/ local barley & local raw wheat boiled w/ burlap-aged hops. Fermented w/ our mixed house cultured in stainless steel. Transferred into oak for 4-6 months. Transferred out of oak onto “spent” local blackberries in August of 2018. Fermented & aged on the berries and local fennel upon blending into the bottling tank. 12 months old at time of bottling& conditioned naturally inside. Blackberries were grown at River Ridge Organics (Greyson Co., Virginia) & fennel grown at Bluebird Farm (Morganton, NC).
