Description: Elemental Gorilla is part of the Bottle Logic Trilogy we hope to bring you every 24 months. Using our own Vanilla Gorilla as the muse for this beer, we continued to build on the idea to focus on the basic Elements of a massive Imperial Stout: Barrel, cat-like patience, and focused adjuncts. The same giant base of Binary Elements was allowed to sit uninterrupted in Willet barrels for 18 months with the addition of Vanuatu vanilla beans. Grown on the southernmost island of the Vanuatu archipelago in the South Pacific, these wonderful and extremely rare vanilla planifolia beans give unique and strong notes of cookie dough and cocoa. Elemental Gorilla with Vanilla pours pitch black with a deep tan head. Aromas and flavors of extreme chocolate chip cookie dough, bakers chocolate, and the most luxurious gooey vanilla fudge lead into a balanced barrel character of vanilla oak, light char, and complexity from the barrel in a chewy and sticky finish. Please enjoy this beer at or above 60° or closer to room temperature to take advantage of each and every characteristic this beer has to offer.
