Description: Brothers and sisters, we are gathered today to drink deeply of this divinely delicious imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels. And not just any barrels, but barrels from the venerable former Baptist minister Elijah Craig, who decided he could better serve his flock with a different kind of spirit and became known as the “Father of Bourbon.” The flavors he got out of those barrels is nothing short of a miracle. He was, after all, close to God; by adding a bit of fire and brimstone to his barrels, he achieved a rich, smoky flavor, which has been passed on to this imperial stout. They say that in heaven there is no beer…but I think the Big Guy would make an exception for this one.
