Seward's Folly Whiskey BA RIS 2021 | 49th State Brewing
ABV: 11.0%
Style: Stout - Russian Imperial
Description: When Secretary of State William Seward purchased Alaska from Russia for $7.2 million in 1867, many ridiculed it, calling it Seward’s Folly for being too expensive. We brew Seward’s Folly Russian Imperial Stout as an ode to that infamous deal that created our great state of Alaska. Aged for over two years in Woodford Reserve Whiskey Barrels, 2021’s release is thick and viscous, overflowing with intense notes of dark chocolate, rich caramel, dried figs, vanilla and whiskey with background nuances of hazelnut, cinnamon and coconut.
