Emmer Malt | Moersleutel Craft Brewery
ABV: 11.0%
IBU: 60
Style: Specialty Grain
Actively Produced
Description: We welcome our friends of Gyrup Malt (www.gyrup.dk), a farmhouse maltster located in Thy, Denmark. They focus on heritage and heirloom grains providing flavors long gone. We were dead curious to see how these grains would work out in our stouts, so we did what we do best: Knowing by trying. This first iteration is a Emmer heavy stout. Emmer is an older variety of wheat with a distinct nutty flavor. On top of this unique malt we also added some of Gyrup own specialty malts. No adjuncts, no additions, just pure malt, hops, water and yeast. Want to learn more? Check out moersleutel.com/odd-grains. Best served at a temperature of 12C.
