Description: This year's Moonblind consists of various base stouts aged in Buffalo Trace and Willett barrels that have slumbered for 22-23 months. In the theme of staying big and bold we used a dark roast coffee from one of our favorite roasters, Onyx Coffee Lab. We're loving how the iconic dark chocolate notes of the coffee and beer make the room smell like an Italian cafe. Underlying the espresso-like expression, there are notes of toasted marshmallow, and of course maple. These two components have a sweetness that cuts through the intensity of both barrel and coffee in a timely fashion, giving the beer longevity on the palate.
