Falling into an undefinable category between Winter Warmer and Barley Wine, it is best defined as a quadruple eisbock (or quintuple?) – if such a thing existed. Should be shared and enjoyed in a tulip/cognac glass. Habits of cellaring this beer is often rewarded with yet more complex flavours and a slight note of tobacco emerging after a few years. First produced in 2010, recent samples of that production show that it has developed even more. A unique beer in every way, and probably the only one of its kind: Brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot (purity law) of 1516.
