Spears Summer Ale | Block ‘n Tackle Brewery
ABV: 5.5%
IBU: 30
Style: Golden Ale
Actively Produced
Description: Back again to help see off summer in style! Built on Brisbane Water in 1878, the 37 ton schooner ‘Retriever’ was the only ship attributed to George Spears – a man with many shipbuilding connections in Brisbane Water. Like the Retriever, the new ‘Spears (bring back) Summer Ale’ is a ‘once-off’ seasonal brewed specially for the hotter months. With it’s light body and pale golden colour, this ale has been hopped with NZ Rakau, NZ Pacifica and a touch of Aussie Galaxy to provide a crisp bitterness with delightful orange marmalade aromas and flavours. Weighing in at 5.5% and with a dry finish that invites another sip, this is an easy drinking ale which will refresh like a cooling southerly change on a hot Summer day.
