Bastion of Reason (2019) | Bottle Logic Brewing
ABV: 13.2%
IBU: 40
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
Actively Produced
Description: NASA’s lucky peanuts date back to the first missions sent to the moon. Six Ranger missions ended in failure, but on the seventh, roasted peanuts were passed out in the control room. The success of Ranger 7, which in July 1964 became the first U.S. space probe to successfully transmit close images of the moon's surface, made the peanuts into a tradition celebrated in Bastion of Reason! Imperial Stout aged in Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill barrels, then finished on roasted peanuts with Ghanaian and Ecuadorian cacao nibs.
