Crianza III | Brasserie de la Senne
ABV: 7.4%
Style: Sour - Flanders Red Ale
Actively Produced
Description: Crianza belongs to the family of Flemish Red-Brown ales. Born out of a mixed fermentation, it spent more than a year in oak barrels. Its body has copper reflections and its aspect is limpid. Its foam is beige and creamy, with a nice hold. It smells like fallen apples, Northern cherries, with a woody and winey accent, and the slightly animal touch given by the Brettanomyces yeast. In the mouth, these flavours are completed by notes of Agen plums, blackberries, spices (cinnamon, cloves, liquorice), and a very lightly caramelised touch of malt and biscuit. Its mineral and slightly sour character makes it surprisingly refreshing. 7,4% abv (hardly perceptible), for the first time available in 33cl bottles only, and in limited amounts.
