Description: A Wine Barrel-Aged Red Sour Ale with Balaton and Black Cherries. A story we've told for 5 years now. And with each chapter we push a new boundary with our beloved cherry sour ale. This year we have embraced our newfound passion for nouveau style ales, in releasing the beer just a couple months after fruiting. A blend of 1 and 2 year old red sour ales, each aging in different red wine barrels makes up the base. After blending, the cuvee was re-fermented upon a mix of Michigan-grown Balaton and Montmorency cherries. This year's mix is a parfait of raspberry jam, berry jolly ranchers, cherry vanilla soda and young Sangiovese.
