Cats and Coffee | Burning Barrel Brewing Company
ABV: 10.6%
IBU: 35
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
Actively Produced
Description: This beer begins with a full-flavored base stout that rested in Maker’s Mark bourbon barrels for 20 months. After awaking this exquisite ale at its maturity, we amped it up by conditioning it on the world’s most expensive coffee beans: Kopi Luwak. These beans are eaten by Civet cats and are fermented during digestion, until collected in its raw form. The beans we chose are 100% certified, gathered in the wild, processed, and packaged from Sumatra Indonesia. For reference, a cup of this coffee at your local shop would sell for over $65! While you may be initially put off by its story, these beans lend lavish flavors smooth dark chocolate that perfectly compliment the base stout.
