Beaverdale Brick Amber Ale | Confluence Brewing Company
ABV: 5.8%
IBU: 33
Style: Red Ale - American Amber / Red
Actively Produced
Description: Although founded in the early 1900s, Beaverdale remains one of the most distinctive neighborhoods in the entire Des Moines metro area today. It’s known for well built, neo-Tudor “Beaverdale brick” homes and its active, neighborhood-minded residents. We built Beaverdale Brick Amber Ale to be as distinctive and beloved as its namesake neighborhood by using English two-row barley malt and English caramel malt with American Simcoe hops for bittering. Zythos hops (a Hop Union blend) were used for late kettle (close to the end of the boil), whirlpool and dry-hopping. The result is a neighborly amber brew with fairly dry, biscuity flavor and medium bitterness with notes of tropical fruit and pine on the nose.
