Ecor Rouge (2017) | Fairhope Brewing Co.
ABV: 8.25%
Style: Sour - Flanders Red Ale
Actively Produced
Description: Named after the Red Cliffs along the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. This wild american ale is based off of a traditional Flanders Red. It gets its complexity from the 15 months it spent fermenting with wild yeast and lactobacillus in the warm humid climate of Lower Alabama. It is such a deep red it almost tends toward brown in color, and its aroma mirrors its flavor - oak and stone fruits, with an unmistakable tartness that occurs naturally during fermentation.
