Annette | Fieldwork® Brewing Company
ABV: 6.0%
Style: Farmhouse Ale - Saison
Actively Produced
Description: It only took a quarter century of the craft beer movement for Lagers to become appreciated by the masses, and we are anxiously awaiting the year 2047 when Saisons get their moment in the sun. Until then, we'll keep brewing super crushable and effervescent Wallonian-inspired beers using Europe's best raw materials. In the case of Annette, we have found a combination that makes this easily our favorite Farmhouse Ale in our library of beers. Just a few simple ingredients combine to create a brilliant and complex profile that is as dry as Yuma in June, as spritzy as an ice-cold La Croix, and perfectly wafts notes of orange blossoms, water crackers, grapefruit peel, lavender flowers, forest honey, alfalfa clippings, and a yeast-derived rustic character. This could be our favorite Saison to date with notes more floral than the Pasadena Rose Parade and hits your palate with the sultriness of a George Michael ballad. Brewed with our favorite Pilsner malt by way of France and East Kent Golding hops, Annette is crisp yet complex with a short and snappy dry finish and peppered with delicate notes of grapefruit blossom, lavender, lemon honey, and springtime wildflowers. Balanced, bright, and effervescent, Annette is an imperative addition to our lineup of beers, holding the fort down for those who love Saisons as much as hops, as blasphemous as that may sound.
