Description: Oak Aged Farmhouse Lager. Fermented in oak with a German lager strain and aged for six months with additional brettanomyces and bacteria. Brewed with Pilsner malt, a nice helping of Spelt malt and ever so lightly hopped with Saaz and Vic Secret. Aromatics are light citrus, a bit of spiciness and floral lager notes. The taste starts off clean and crisp, moderately hoppy with flavours of lemon, lime, & pineapple. Which then leads into a complex finish of slick oak, minerals, a touch of funk and a hint of tartness. The body is soft and chewy from the spelt/oak combo, but bone dry in the finish from the extended fermentation. This beer has the refreshment of a lager but with the complexities of an oak aged farmhouse saison.
