Incline Cut English IPA (Small Batch Ltd) | Mad Paddle Brewstillery

ABV: 6.2%
IBU: 53
Style: IPA - English
Actively Produced
Description: We are proud to release our ninth beer, Incline Cut English IPA, the second recipe by MP brewer Tonie Wycoff. The Madison Incline is the steepest railroad track in North America and has been in existence for nearly 180 years. England’s IPAs were the first, the great grandfather of a style that’s basically exploded across the land—popularized most aggressively in America. American IPAs typically have a much bigger hop profile compared to the English IPAs, which have more of a subtle, classic taste with pronounced hops. As the story goes, Indian Pale Ales originated during the late 1700s, utilizing the anti-microbial properties of hops to help preserve the beer during transport.
