Description: With our Out of the Loop IPL, we started with a traditional a Maibock recipe but tool some serious liberties making it a completely American reinvention. By using American Pale Ale and Munich malts we create a solid malt backbone to support the large hop presence (a blend of American and European hops). The idea is to showcase all of the delicate hop flavors and aromas while avoiding ale yeast esters. Dry-hopping makes the “perceived happiness” seem much greater, but we have kept the bitterness around 50 IBU making this beer different from anything we have ever had. With a crisp, dry finish at 6% this should be an excellent alternative to stronger American IPAs.
