Dampfbier | New Oberpfalz Brewing
ABV: 5.0%
IBU: 10
Style: Dampfbier
Actively Produced
Description: Medium brown color with a creamy head, banana and bread aroma, malt forward flavor profile. Historically brewed by farmers around Munich using available (and legal) grains but fermented with Hefeweizen yeast that was "borrowed" from the Royal Bavarian Weissbier breweries in Munich. A rustic and delicious style of beer, some may put Dampfbier between a Dunkelweizen and a Roggenbier from a style standpoint.
