Mines of Wallonia | Niche Brewing

ABV: 3.6%
IBU: 21
Style: Farmhouse Ale - Grisette
Actively Produced
Description: Many years ago, miners in the Wallonia region of Belgium had Grisette - brewed with malted Wheat, fermented with Saison yeast strains, and often late-hopped, these low-ABV beers were perfect for refreshing the dust-covered palate, while providing plenty of aroma and flavour. We are huge fans of Farmhouse Ales, and Mines of Wallonia is our hoppy interpretation of a Grisette, which we brewed with lots of Wheat, Oats, and Spelt, and fermented with French Saison yeast. Late-hopped and dry-hopped with healthy amounts of Hallertau Blanc to give some tropical, wine-like aromas and flavours to go with the spicy phenolics, we hope that you'll be as refreshed and satisfied as Wallonian miners were with the Grisettes available.
