Description: A Belgian dark strong style ale. Made with pale, caramalt, chocolate, and black malts resulting in a dark brown color and giving this brew a rich malt character and aroma. Belgian dark candi sugar and clover honey lend unique but not overpowering sweetness. Santium hops give a little balance and a noble spiciness, but almost no hop bitterness. The use of a Belgian yeast strain, at slightly higher fermentation temperatures, adds an estery, alcoholic, and spicy character. Complex, rich, smooth, and dangerous.
