Imperial Breakfast Stout | Pirate Life Brewing
ABV: 11.0%
Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
Actively Produced
Description: Ever seen the recirculated engine-oil from a 1964 Dodge Power Wagon? You have now my friend. Ploughing through at a colossal 11% ABV, this new seasonal dazzler will take on any Imperial Stout in the field. It’s big, it’s bad and it means business. I know who I’m putting my money on… When tapped along-side of our new Black IPA, you’ll notice the decals match up in a slick new design. That’s not all they have in common, they were created using the same brew. The Imperial Breaky utilised the initial high gravity wort, while the BLIPA took the secondary, lower gravity run-off. Finally, they are re-united behind the bar in spectacular fashion. Both nose and palate can be summed up by the following: Crispy-skin pancakes with butter and maple syrup, stove-top mocha, sweet coffee liqueur and black strap molasses. On what planet could this be bad?! The mouthfeel is warm and coating with a treacle like viscosity. It delights, lingers then drips away to reveal a dry cocoa finish. Somewhere amidst this decadence we find delicate alpha acid bitterness from kettle hop additions of CTZ, Perle, and Fuggles. This beer has the entire PL family excited. Rip a pint today and find out why. Cheers.
