Description: Primitive Beer and Amalgam Brewing lovingly teamed up to create Friends With Blendefits, an expressive yet balanced blend of beers, bottle conditioned on a variety of priming sugars. A single puncheon of Primitive’s spontaneous beer was blended in equal parts with a select puncheon of Amalgam’s mixed-culture golden sour and then divided into three treatments. Our final split of this release was conditioned with Primitive’s 4-month-young spontaneous beer, which is an exciting first for the group, and certainly rare among modern beer producers! Refermentation as a function of blending allows these beers’ natural flavors to present themselves. We love the spirited carbonation, petrichor minerality, and restrained acidity.
