Description: For this unique ale we took all things breakfast and threw them in the mix, literally! In the mash we used 5 pounds of breakfast cereal and 5 pounds each of grits and oats to provide a rich grainy flavor with a smooth body. During the boil we added lactose and maple sugars for a complex sweetness. In the bright tank we cold conditioned with 2 pounds of whole bean Peruvian coffee for a pungent aroma with a mild flavor. While inspired by the first meal of the day, this ale is enjoyable at all hours!
