Description: Wild Ale Aged in Oak Barrels with Pear Added Bottle Release 3/18/22 - $16/Club Only This mixed-ferment rye saison already exhibited a suggestion of pears after aging for 16 months in a third-use oak barrel. We refermented the beer on Maryland-grown Bartlett and Magness pears from Scenic View Orchard (Sabillasville, MD). The pear flavor is abundant, providing perceived sweetness to balance the tart lemon and hay notes created by our resident culture.
