Description: Scratch #183 represents our further examination of the Session IPA style. It has been a recent endeavor of ours to pack as much flavor and aroma into a beer while keeping the ABV to a minimum. To achieve this, we’ve introduced a new breed of American hop known as Azacca, which elicits a variety of tropical aromas and flavors found in recent New Zealand varietals such as mango, pineapple, and tangerine. Pairing Azacca with one of favorite hops, Chinook, incorporates a wealth of sticky pine resin into the mix. The addition of oats softens the mouthfeel and lends a somewhat slick texture, which complements the natural oils found in the hops. Although it won’t weigh you down, the juicy smack of hops found in Scratch #183 will definitely leave a mark across your palate.
