Description: This seems to be the year of the craft lager resurgence and we couldn't be more excited about that. Spearheading the meteoric rise in craft lagers has been the previously underrepresented Italian Pilsner and for good reason. The Italian Pilsner utilizes a blend of old world and new world brewing techniques such as traditional lager yeast and prolonged cold storage alongside early dry-hopping applications and modern hop varieties. In the spirit of blending new and old, we kept our malt bill simple with a few basic German malts accompanied by a new US grown hop variety well suited to hoppy lagers called Contessa. The beer has the classic crisp and drinkable qualities of a pilsner with a slightly hazy appearance from the dry-hopping, and a clean floral and herbal flavor profile reminiscent of traditional noble hop varieties, but with an intriguing bright pear finish.
