Solidarity | Wild Ride Brewing
ABV: 8.2%
IBU: 30
Style: Belgian Dubbel
Actively Produced
Description: Solidarity, meaning, “Unity or agreement of feeling or action, especially among individuals with a common interest”. In the brotherhood of brewing beer, there is always a common interest and it is the true love of beer. We at Wild Ride Brewing and Breakside Brewing have that passion and love for beer and decided to collaborate to create a brew that celebrates our unity. This Belgian Abbey Ale was fermented in Oregon Pinot Noir Barrels, then each barrel was blended to create a beer that is unique and layered with complexity. Select malt was chosen to give this beer both a full mouth feel and pleasant sweetness, with notes of caramel, raisin, and plum. By fermenting this beer in Pinot Noir Barrels, this Abbey Ale gained light notes of oak and vanilla, with a hint of pinot noir quality. In addition to the helping hand from Breakside Brewing, Imperial Organic Yeast provided and introduced their Workhorse Belgian yeast strain into each barrel. This yeast lends flavors and aromas of clove, banana, and spice, all necessary in a proper Belgian beer. Solidarity also was brewed to acknowledge the greatness that the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation has been able to provide in helping and improving the talents of craft brewers and in craft beer itself. In such, we will be making a donation from the sales of Solidarity to this important Foundation.
