Description: The idea behind this beer was to make a bigger, bolder version of our popular Jemmy Dean Breakfast Stout. In doing so, we ran the hot wort from the boil kettle through several pounds of Sumatran coffee beans and dark Mexican chocolate in our hopback, lending notes of bittersweet chocolate, mocha and a touch of vanilla. During the transfer from the fermenter to the serving vessel, several gallons of cold pressed Guatemalan Antigua coffee were injected in-line. The cold press adds a smooth, yet robust coffee character that works perfectly with roasted malts.
